I really enjoy the hobby of amateur radio.  My first spark of interest was in high school in 1984 when my science teacher (Tom VK3BMF) asked me to write a logging program on my Commodore Vic20 for the VK Remembrance Day Contest.  I then kept log for him and was enthralled by his FT101E and all the signals from far and wide.

Later that year I went on to attain my Noice Licence and was granted VK3VCC.  For wo years I enjoyed late night DX, improving my morse code and general operating skills.  Weaved into school work was study time and in 1986 I upgraded to the Advanced Licence and was granted VK3BMG.

Fast forward some years and I’m now VK3QB.
